Your Responsibilities
It is not enough to believe. Indeed, it is a disgrace to be an ignorant believer.
Your everlasting fate (salvation or doom) is not what you should carelessly entrust into the hands of religious leaders, who are spiritually ignorant.
You should know and practise the Truth, which sets free.
Man is fond of giving reasons for his faults, for his failures, for his omissions, for his commissions, for his errors and for his inefficiencies. In all, he tries to blame some other person or thing. He never blames himself!
Have you ever seen a seed blaming anybody for its inability to germinate, grow or mature? Have you ever seen a bird blaming the wind or rain? Do you see the darkness blaming the sun? Has the winter blamed the summer? Or, the flood blamed the earth? If these blame none, how come that man, who is full of intelligence and potentials, is always ready to give reasons?
It is your personal responsibility to work out your salvation. All else - the prophets, ministers and saviours - are helping hands. If salvation were a free gift, then everybody would be going to heaven. Even the evil spirits would be qualified to enter the kingdom. For what is free is free indeed! On the divine side, salvation is a free gift. Indeed, free! But you have to climb to the Mountain Top, where the Golden City is. That is where you depend solely on yourself. For many years, preachers have told you that all you need to be saved is repent and accept Jesus as Lord and Saviour. Jesus is indeed Lord and Saviour. But you must qualify for admission into the kingdom of heaven.
The way we undertake education from nursery, through primary and secondary schools, to university level for our various careers, is the way mankind supposed to learn about God and the universe. In other words, Spiritual Science should be compulsory up to university education. You can call it Spiritual Studies, Spiritual Education or Religious Affairs. Man has developed all things, but failed to develop himself. He boasts of Computer Science, Physical Science, Chemical Science, Social Science, Political Science, etc, but has neglected the most important one, which is Spiritual Science.
If we spend so much time to study one course, is it not worthwhile that we spend more time to study the Creator of all things and His ways. Unfortunately, many of the religious and church leaders are ignorant of the vast knowledge which they supposed to teach the masses. You should know this, because your eternal destiny is at stake! Learning is a life-long exercise.
        Therefore, you should:
  1. Repent.
  2. Accept Truth (Jesus) as your Personal Lord and Saviour.
  3. Seek and know the Truth.
  4. Jesus said, "You shall know the Truth and the Truth shall set you free."
And Prophet Mohammed added, "You shall worship God to know Him, and know Him to worship Him." It is not otherwise!

Indeed, you will be amazed when you know the Truth, and reading one Holy Book is not enough! Investigate the things you believe and practise. It is better to test and confirm the Truth one hundred times, than to hold one - single - belief that is false! Truly, many are not on the right path. Again, it is better to investigate all things, and then choose the right ones, than to remain in the wrong place and perish forever.

  5. Grow in spirit.
  6. Jesus said it clearly: ". . . Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. You worship what you do not know: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. " John 4:20-24
Conclusion
To know more about yourself, spend time to meditate or observe quiet times. Even when messages from others seem to be diverse or conflicting, pray and meditate for the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
Where necessary, walk alone. It is not right to join the multitudes in doing what is wrong. And God warns, “If a multitude commit sin, do not join them.” It may even be necessary that you be an island unto yourself.
Even Jesus cautioned against joining others to commit evil. The fact that everybody is doing it is never an excuse.
You have to take the responsibility, and you alone. All because God gave you free will and free choice.
In spirit, you alone should live your life, take your decisions, and accept or reject responsibilities just as you think fit. In the heavenly court, inside the Hall Of Memories, only yourself shall be the accused, the accuser, the witness, the judge and the executor. Be warned!
